When to book a rental car in England

Location information for England

Take a trip to England and visit some of the famous sites and attractions that make this small European destination so popular. The picturesque coastal walks, historical streets lined with traditional pubs and cities filled with shopping centres are just a few of the things to enjoy. The simplest way to get around is by cheap car hire in England as it allows visitors to tour at their own pace.

Most of England's visitors will arrive at one of the four big airports located in London, and in a hire car the country is your oyster. See the sights in London including Buckingham Palace, Oxford Street and the London Eye before driving to the south coast by rental car to explore the pretty coastal towns and villages.

Cornwall is a popular destination for the English as well as foreigners thanks to its breathtaking countryside, endless beaches and traditional English fish and chip shops. Further east is the county of Somerset, well known for its cider making abilities, and next door is Dorset, home to an interesting place called Poole that is known for its beaches and natural harbour area.

The White Cliffs of Dover are remarkable and well worth making the trip to see, and in Sussex visitors can see the place where William the Conquer was victorious in the famous Battle of Hastings.

After you have discovered the south coast towns of Portsmouth, Southampton and Brighton, take your cheap hire car in England further north and stop off at Sheffield and explore the countryside outside of the city before driving on to Liverpool and Manchester, both of which have good shopping and famous football teams.
