Nestled in the Algarve region is the southern-most city of Portugal ? Faro. This popular resort city is surrounded by nature preserves and easily explored on foot. The historic centre is beautiful, with its many cobblestone streets dating back to the Moorish era of the 18th century. The beach is also a major attraction of Faro.
