Car hire fuerturventura

Good price and easy to book, shame car not at airport, quite a quick transfer but not on way back. Price for rental was good and also not ripped on on fuel prices, but car was old with over 100,000 on clock and not even central locking, lots marks on car but not shown around it or anything explained, just seemed they wanted us away as quickly as possible, but no complaints about that, but when returning not such good service as waiting around to be transfered back to airport. Car was ok but very squeeky brakes and clutch made a lot of noise, but done its job and never let us down.

Airport pick-up and rental process efficient. Vehicle condition though not new with minor damage was adequate and acceptable. Car reliable throughout rental period. Car return process and courtesy bus to airport undertaken efficiently. Would have liked car with sun roof.

No hastle, car ready & waiting

Car was ready for us when we arrived at the airport. Had a 207 and was a nice car. Easy check in, took details, given the key and was told where to go. Gave the car a thorough check over when we returned. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Easy and efficient service.

I booked online a few days before leaving for our holiday. I was panicking whether I had left it too late but I was dealt with speedily and efficiently, with emails arriving within 24 hours confirming there was a car ready for us in Ibiza. The email contained where to meet the representative in the car park that was located straight in front of arrivals door. The rep duly drove us to BK car rentals a few minutes away. The transaction of filling in forms and collecting our car was again speedy and I was dealt with in a very professional manner. Returning the car was a reverse process that was once again speedy and efficient, and the rep kindly drove us to the same car park where we walked into departures within a few minutes. I would highly recommend 121 carhire and BK car rentals. I will definitely use them again.

All as hoped!

After coming out of the main doors at Palma de Mallorca) Airport we easily found the parking area for the Transfer Minibus. We waited less than 5 mins for one to arrive (we travelled in September). The driver was friendly and helpful. The drive to the Car Lot was pretty brief too. We did have to queue for about 15 mins at the office to get the car but there were toilets, free wifi and and some children's toys. The car was quite new (though the spare tyre was flat so I was offered another car straight away). The vehicle was in good condition, a few scratches here and there but fine. Returning the car was just as easy really and price depending I'd be happy to try Centauro (via 121) again.

Car Hire Experience

Speedy admin/offered an upgrade that was very reasonable which was accepted. Easy return of car. Do not like the arrangement of returning with empty tank. Much prefer the return with a full tank. It is a much fairer arrangement.

Superb from start to finish

Really easy to collect car as the desk was in the airport. Helpful lady behind counter. Car was lovely and new. The only difficuly was finding our way out of the car park; no signs!! Car return was simple.

Easy as 123 to book with

I would certainly recommend 121 car hire. They were friendly and helpful every time I had to contact them due to me changing my mind. On researching car rental for our holiday we discovered that a lot of rental companies given you the vehicle with an empty tank and you return it empty, the rental company can then charge you what they for the fuel. On discovering his I contacted 121 car hir who were able to find a rental company that had a full out full in policy. This means you rent the car with a full tank of fuel and you return it with a full tank of fuel. We felt this was better value for money as it was our choice as to what we paid for the fuel. in total we paid £220 for two weeks car hire using europcar at Alicante airport. Before committing to renting through 121, I researched what the cost would be if I hired directly through the hire company, and to my horror i discovered that it was vastly dearer than what I was going to pay hrough 121 car hire. I would highly recommend using 121car hire so much so I have already started researching the cost for next years car hire.

Easy, fast, cheap..

The site design was easy enough to navigate and after significant shopping around, it gave results that were by far the cheapest! Our provider 'Marbesol' did however give an extra charge upon arrival for fuel costs. This was unexpected and a hassle but overall it worked out cheaper than competition, if only at less of a margin. On the plus side we got a lift to and from the airport included in the price and the staff were helpful enough after persuasion of anything! Overall the site was clear, the provider let the side down a little but again in their favour for a week only an extra €28 was charged for me as a 21 year of driver. Can't complain at that! All that's required is full info upfront - no hidden fees, like much of the competition.

Family holiday in Spain

Cheaper than the rest and clear process to hire. The only small problem was when I collected the car the sales person at the office was trying to sell me more insurance. I never took it, but still a little unsure and unclear about whether I needed more insurance or not. Good new car, fast transport from Alicante airport to depot. Easy and speedy drop off. Worth using search engine to find this deal.

Good but hidden costs

I found the service quick and prompt, and the car itself was great; but I didn't realise the extra money I would have to fork out once I was there. I thought petrol was included in the price but I had to pay extra for that once I arrived, which I was really unhappy with. Other than that, I thought the ease of pick up and drop off were fine.

Yes happy would recommend

Just back from a week in Mallorca. Initially didn't particularly like the policy of returning the tank empty as you are charged for a full tank regardless. However, I think this is pretty standard for all car rental on the island and as it turned out we used the full tank after all! Not yet had my bill from Budget for the full tank of fuel, but led to expect it will be about 80 euros. Good central location for picking up and dropping off at the airport itself (not to be underestimated). However, allow for queuing time - it was really busy even at the end of June. The only thing that I can think of to improve the service would be to know precisely where to collect the car from - I had never been to Palma airport before so had to ask around where to find Budget (incidentally they are now part of Avis so these are the signs you need to head for - just a v small Budget sign on the desk itself)

Best Value Car Hire

I used 121CarHire both this year in Spain and last year in Portugal, and can honestly say that they provided the most competitive rates I could find. Their website is so easy to navigate, and the confirmations and booking vouchers were emailed almost immediately. I guess that the collection and return of vehicles is going to vary depending on the supplier and location, but at Faro Airport in Portugal and especially at Alicante Airport in Spain, it was an exceptionally simple process. No hassles whatsoever!!!

Calpe or Calp in Valencian is a town located in the Alicante province of Spain. It is more known as a tourist resort, handling millions of travellers every year who come in for their summer holidays. The town is also inhabited by a significantly large community of ex-pats. Entry is by taking the tram along the coast from Alicante. You can reach Alicante via high-speed trains coming from other parts of Spain. To get around the town, it's better to arrange for cheap car hire in Calpe as soon as you arrive.

While you'll probably spend most of your time in Calpe lounging by its golden sand beaches, you might want to take the time to explore some of the most interesting attractions in the town. Take your car rental for a drive to the nature reserve of Peñon de Ifac. This is a large Gibraltar like rock that juts out straight from the sea and dominates the whole resort town. You can get to the top of the rock through a tunnel that goes through its middle.

After enjoying a scenic view of Calpe from the nature reserve, head downtown where a number of attractions await you. You can go to the Old Town and walk along the many historic buildings that feature local architectural designs or sample local dishes through the many restaurants that dot the area.

Because Calpe is a resort town, you can expect a happening night life through the pubs and bars located in the town centre and surrounding the beach resorts. For a dose of retail therapy, visit the flea market that opens on Wednesdays and the street market on Saturdays.

While staying in town is enough to complete your summer holiday, why not take your car hire in Calpe for day trips to nearby towns to make your stay worthwhile? From Calpe, you can drive up to Alicante or the towns of Denia, Benidorm and Altea.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
