The scenic city of Rhodes in Greece has become increasingly popular, especially between the months of April to October. As a result the Rhodes Airport has become a hub for international flight traffic in Greece. Now seeing over three million passengers a year, the airport was remodelled in 2005 to accommodate its growing amount of passengers. Cheap car hire at Rhodes Airport is also now available onsite.

The airport houses a VIP lounge for business travellers that offers some limited facilities. Several travel agencies maintain outlets to help passengers make further travel arrangements. Budget car rental is also available for visitors who wish to explore the isle further on their own.

Although growing in popularity, Rhodes Airport caters to all flights through a one terminal building. Directly upon entering the terminal, you can find ATMs and currency exchange available. The terminal also has a restaurant and shopping outlets as well as a chemists shop. Wireless is not yet available from the terminal.

Parking is provided directly across from the terminal entrance. There is also a drop off zone at the entrance to the terminal. Passengers with limited mobility should inform the airlines when making a booking as assistance will be provided. Wheelchairs are provided for passengers requiring them.

Taxis can be hired from outside of the terminal building. From the airport it is a short 16kms ride from the airport itself. Public transportation is also readily available. Public buses can be met at the station 300m from the airport. The airport information desk will provide a copy of the routes and times. Cheap car hire at Rhodes Airport is a good way for those wanting to take in the beauty of the isle.
