Never Again Interrent

I am sorry but I couldnt find anything good to say about the customer service at interrent,and when I think about my experience with them it makes me angry..from the moment I got off the plane to the time taken to hire the car was painful..i am surprised that the company INTERRENT is still in business if they treat evry customer the same way..thank you for the opportunity to review my experience car 121..

Professional service

Two small things I'm not 100% happy about ... the very professional lady at the counter at Heathrow suggested that I upgrade the car I booked (a mini car ) to one that would be better for long distance driving. She assured me it would only be £5 extra and that the petrol comsumption would be better. When I checked my card statement the rental car company seemed to deduct an amount of $10.38 from my card. I then had to pay an additional Conversion Fee (I had a multi currency card, but only uploaded £ and Euro since that was the only countries I will travel in). When I filled up with petrol at the end of my journey, I actually used more petrol than I budgeted for with the mini car and unfortunately the petrol station charged my card in Euro and then it had to be converted to pounds which let to another additional conversion fee. For the rest though, I had a very enjoyable time. One recommendation though, perhaps you could leave a detailed map of the country in the car for the use of drivers who do not use a GPS. Thank you!

Booked using this website, with the car actually being provided by Green Motion near London Heathrow Airport. Smooth user experience, the car was good (Hyundai i30 diesel [CDMR], since you ask) and everything went off without a hitch.

got an excellent car

booking through 121 carhire.com and the supplier is thrifty at the sheraton heathrow airport london. the booking online is easy,the price is very attractive. the car we have got is the bmw520 touring au,diesel,very new and large and full of power,an exellent car for a nine-day driving to scotland (i booked the mercedes c-class with sat nav). the process of picking and returning the car at the sheraton heathrow is easy and fast. but the downside i've found at thrifty is the transport to and from heathrow and the hotel which is about 4-5 miles is insufficient. we had to wait for a long time for this.

An almost outstanding experience

The only real "downside" of the car hire was that the rental company (in this case 'Green Motion') is not located at Heathrow airport, which meant that it was necessary to utilise the 'Hotel Hoppa' bus service at a cost of 4GBP per person per trip to get to the location to fetch the vehicle and after returning it, to get back to the airport. It also took quite some time to finalise the paperwork before being able to leave depot with the hired vehicle. The actual vehicle was in good condition and performed well during the entire 3 week hire period. The return of the vehicle was handled very expediently and only took a few minutes, which was a great relief as the collection had been tedious. All in all, the deal was good value for money and an enjoyable experience

Got the job done!

Renting a car is a pain in the neck. This was no worse than most. The rep was very thorough going over the dings in the vehicle which I appreciated. I got the impression that the vehicle had not be serviced or cleaned before we picked it up. There had been an accident to the front right fender and there was rubbish left from the previous renters. All in all the vehicle provided us with adequate transportation and we would rent from you again. The reps also removed the last two seats so that our luggage would fit.

Car rentals

Great service, staff were friendly, prompt and efficient. Was great to be able to walk out the airport and have a bus waiting to pick us up and drive us to the car hire. Was great that we could return the car empty and not have to worry about the cost of filling the car The only down side was the office/booking area looked a bit rough and not very customer friendly. Overall I would definitely recommend this service to anyone. My wife and I will be booking with them again next year when we return to England

Excellent Value For Money

Great overall service, with a good value car for my purposes. Convenient location for my onward journey through the airport (with a Heathrow Hoppa bus arriving every half an hour). Drop off was easier than collection (the post code on directions was for the wrong branch of hotel chain). Staff overall were efficient and friendly. They should have a rewards program as I will Definitely use them again.

Great service, terrible car

My only two complaints about the service would be the fact that I was only charged a small deposit up-front and had to pay the balance upon returning the vehicle. I prefer to pay up-front when booking and would have liked that option. My second complaint is that the brand new Chevrolet Spark I drove was possibly the worst car in the world. This is not Sixt's fault, but I would strongly advise them not to buy any more of these soulless, noisy, unresponsive and underpowered vehicles. The comparison to a Peugeot 107 (for example) is not even worth making! I was, however, extremely happy with Sixt service and the price of the car hire.
