The Arlandastad Airport is going to be part of the Stockholm Airport City that is currently being constructed to expand Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. The airport city is going to remain the main air hub into the region and the first of its kind in the country. Airport facilities such as budget car rental options, banking, childcare and business services are being improved to cater to the varied concerns of the over 17 million passengers that pass through Arlanda.

There’s a lot of room for expansion and growth at the Arlandastad Airport. First phase of the construction is already under way . Roads are being developed to connect the airport to the city centre. As an extension to the Stockholm-Arlanda, the airport will continue to serve international and regional flights. As such, the terminals will provide their own set of services and facilities including business centres, and banking facilities.

One part of the Arlandastad Airport is set to contain business centres, shopping areas and a hotel. The eastern side of the airport will consist of offices, hotels and a logistics centre where travellers can arrange for various transport options including cheap car hire at the Arlandastad Airport. Shopping and dining opportunities will also be mostly concentrated at the eastern side of the airport. Other facilities include an air and space centre to serve as an activity centre for both kids and adults, health care assistance, industrial areas and car service.

The Arlandastad Airport is going to be well connected to the city centre and the rest of Sweden through various transport options. A rail station is going to be constructed on the eastern side. Bus networks will also start serving the airport.
